The ide modules were not setup properly so the kernel couldn't see the harddrives and couldn't boot properly. This doesn't sound like your problem so much. Did you properly configure and re-run your bootloader after your move above? To work on the system, you need to boot from a live-cd and chroot into your broken system. At a guess I'd say you need to dpkg-reconfigure your kernel and then re-configure and re-run your boot loader. .02 A > > Any ideas on what's keeping it from booting still? > Thanks all :).
