Acroread you get from adobe, currently the linux version is 7.0. The JVM you get from Java.sun.com IIRC, latest version is 1.5.something. The JVM may require alien or similar to install on debian, and Acroread, at least the version I have came in a tar.gz. -- Cheers, Gene People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word 'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's stupid bounce rules.
