Hi,
I want to download the DVDs for latest debian distribution ( code named
etch).
From the website I could locate
ftp://ftp.fsn.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/debian-unofficial/etch-dvd/, where there
are links to the ISOs.
1. debian-32-i386-binary-1.iso 4556480 KB
2. debian-32-i386-binary-2.iso 4543360 KB
But when I start the download using the Mozilla Firefox downloader, it shows
the size of (1) as 362.2 MB instead of 4556480 KB,
and the size of (2) as 349.1 MB instead of 4543360 KB.
I have tried with other downloaders like wget, Star Downloader, DAP,
Internet Explorer Downloader, but they all show the sizes of the files to be
downlaoded in MBs instead of approx 4GB each.
Please help me in downloading the correct files.
Thanks.

I just tried with Firefox from your link and it shows 4449.1 MB
No problem here...You might want to try again, it looks like the files are new. Maybe they weren't uploaded completely?

That's real interesting. Just for chuckles and grins, I tried it here,
using Firefox and Mozilla Suite, with these results:
Up to higher level directory
File: debian-32-amd64-binary-1.iso 4532384 KB 01/10/2006 06:57:00 PM
File: debian-32-amd64-binary-2.iso 4539744 KB 01/10/2006 09:58:00 PM
File: debian-32-amd64-binary-3.iso 91232 KB 01/11/2006 12:26:00 AM
File: debian-32-i386-binary-1.iso 4555872 KB 01/16/2006 04:02:00 AM
File: debian-32-i386-binary-2.iso 4541344 KB 01/16/2006 07:48:00 AM
File: debian-32-i386-binary-3.iso 959552 KB 01/16/2006 11:06:00 AM
NOTE: There is now a binary-3 disk. Also, the file sizes do not match
the ones found by the OP. They are close, but not the same.
When I tried to do the DL, I got the following file sizes:
Using Firefox:
binary-1.iso -- 2097.2MB
binary-2.iso -- 2097.2MB
binary-3.iso -- 959.6MB
Using Mozilla-Suite:
binary-1.iso -- 2097152KB
binary-2.iso -- 2097152KB
binary-3.iso -- 959552KB
Only binary-3.iso matches the file size from the directory.
Something definately seems to be a little off.
