Hi Peter, Contrary to the other replies, I have gaim running just fine on sarge using the regular debian main sources. Be sure you have a) correct debian sources in /etc/apt/sources.list, and b) update from synaptics. Then install gaim or anything else. Do read the docs, especially the Debian Reference Manual: http://qref.sourceforge.net/ or install the debian-reference package.
