You need to download (DFSG non-free) firmware from Intel. If you go to ipw2200.sf.net and follow the links: for 2.14*, I think you need ipw2200-fw-2.2.tgz [It's mentioned on the site.] For 2.6.15, you need ipw2200-fw-2.4.tgz Use module-assistant to build the modules: unpack the firmware into /lib/firmware.
