No need to uninstall the windoze, Debian can wipe it out nicely for you (if you 
choose so) during the install ;)

Basically all you need to do is boot from the CD (if you have the right CD, and 
you downloaded it correctly). The installer is pretty self-explanatory. I hope 
you have some good internet connection to download further software (like most 
of us do). One CD can contain only a fraction of all the software available in 
Debian and i bet some of the stuff you will want on your computer is not 
contained on it. A dial-up connection is not very well suited for this...
You might also want to check how partitions are named in linux (you don't want 
to accidentally wipe the wrong partition instead of the windoze :) ) and what 
would be a recommended partitioning scheme.

If you have no idea what i'm talking about you might want to learn more about 
computers before attempting this.
