All external modems work.  Winmodems aren't modems, just sound devices
with a bad identity crisis going on.  8:o)

Googling, it does not appear that this is a Winmodem, which isn't
surprising, winmodems are almost always internal, and the only ones
I've heard of that aren't are USB.
