I don't red the thread this far so perhaps my solution is not for You. I have motherboard with Intel chipset: 845G and the monitor KAGA F1769T. I do these and get the X Window with [EMAIL PROTECTED] with native xserver-xfree86 driver: # dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 use native i810 driver I have used the videogen package to determine the Modeline for my monitor. I put these - by videogen - generated Modeline in the XF86Config-4 file in the section Monitor: Section "Monitor" Identifier "KAGA F1769T" HorizSync 30-72 VertRefresh 50-120 Option "DPMS" Modeline "800x600" 46.60 800 824 856 1024 600 602 604 632 \ # 47 MHz,45.5 kHz, 72 Modeline "1024x768" 90.00 1024 1056 1096 1312 768 770 773 808 \ # 90 MHz, 68.6 kHEndSection Here I wrap the text with \ but there in the XF86Config-4 file it is in one line. Restart the X Window: Ctrl+Alt+Backspace and enjoy.. :-) I hope this help to You to solve the problem. -- Regards, Debian Junior Project, DebianEdu, Moodle -> :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) http://www.ektf.hu/~Csanyi.Pal (Up to now, it is in Hungarian only.) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
