1.- Hi, for you sound card can you try with "alsa" its very easy 2.- for you keyboard layouts try with: setxkbmap 3.- You dont know if you are in KDE or Gnome??? it's easy, KDE is more beautiful :P, you can change your desktop environment before to star the session in the display manager (KDM or GDM) 4.- this list is a very site for help :-)
