if you're using, its NOT a compatible hw, since you're using 
the windoze drivers on the cdrom that came with the card

- if the wifi card using broadcom ... most of the broadcom
  is not supported by any linux drivers
        - but there are some broadcom chips like the tigon(?) gigE
        stuff that have a native linux driver

- if you use ndiswrapper..
        - you can only be a wifi client
        - you may or may not be able to run wpa
        - you may or may not be able to talk to any random 
          "microsoft based" commercial AP
        - ... semi endless list ...
