yes, they have been accidentally deleted: I booted the system from the secondary drive and still got the message "ntldr missing". So far I have to restore - and maybe reinstall - windows on the secondary drive minding to preserve debian on the first!!! Thank you Simo, Good night! ilvecchioalex
