I have had much difficulty installing Debian on new hardware. I am using the latest unstable installer available a few days ago. I am trying to install the default 2.6 kernel and unstable to get the latest code. If I try to install testing the base install fails at about 75 percent. With unstable it fails on mkinitrd.
