Have you installed the "-devel" version of the various packages you mention? For example, "libqt3-dev" will *probably* have the missing qtconfig script, along with all of the proper headers to compile against it. Also, you have to realize that half (I'm being charitable) of the developers you'll be downloading from have a lot of hard-coded paths in their configure scripts. Get used to specifying lots of "--with-foo=/usr/include/foo" options or even editing the configure files where necessary. I have to do that all the time to compile apps developed on Linux on FreeBSD servers. -- Kirk Strauser
