I know it sounds crazy, but maybe try it without your /etc/ppp/peesr/myispsname I have never had pon fail, as long as i had the modem switched on and the telephone line into it and the phone line wasn't down. There seems to be some sort problem with trying to get at your ISP, and I suppose that you have entered it correctly? Silly question because it connects sometimes. Maybe if you can connect each time without specifying your ISP, then you will be able to troubleshoot that part of myisp which doesn't quite allow it to work each time.............? But something seems to be worrying it sometimes. I connect 3 or four times a day, and have never had a miss, unless it was something mechanical. Sorry I can't be of more help. >>>>> Registered Linux User:- 329524 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. _____________________________John Ciardi *********************************************** Debian Sarge 3.1.......... trying it ___________________________________________________________ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
