My problem is not in the BIOS. I can both up the system in text mode even 
without the keyboard and mouse.

I have narrowed the problem to Xfree86. The XFree86.0.log has the
following error msgs:

No core keyboard device specified.
Unable to determine the screen-layout.

What I don't understand is why the lack of a keyboard could determine the
screen-layout. I am sure XFree86 can be used without a keyboard as in a
tabletPC. I have used one such device with xfvm or fvrm or something like that.

Any comment?
