I have 2 'easy' issues:

1. Soundcard doesn't work under KDE as user, but it
does under root. (I know, don't use X as root, t'was
an accident).

Error while initializing the sound driver:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (Permission denied)
The sound server will continue, using the null output
device.
