Use Xorg -configure and then follow the instructions. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Brown [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, October 03, 2005 8:05 AM To: debian-user@lists.debian.org Subject: 3dfx graphic card
Hi I hope somebody will help. I am trying to install debian 3.1 (x86) on an older machine that I have to use as server and internet gateway. It is a 400mhz machime with voodoo3 3dfx 3500 graphic card. The problem is that in configuring the card, there is no voodoo or 3dfx chip listed in the option offered and I have tried a few different ones including vga and so far I have not been able to get the GDM to start. What chip can I use and what are the setting needed (I think it is PC1 number ). I am pulling my hair out and I am now almost bald. Thanks Andy Andrew ___________________________________________________________ Unlimited Tiscali Broadband from 14.99! http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/
