Hi, /usr/bin/gcc is provided by package gcc, which is a pure dependency package (almost empty, but depending on the "current" gcc-VERSION package). Currently, gcc depends on gcc-4.0, and sets the /usr/bin/gcc symlink accordingly. Regards, Jan
