Surely there is something on Linux to do > this. No, a RIP takes Postscript and turns it into a Raster image. It does much what GhostScript does, but directly to a bitmap which gets fed to the laser on the printer. It is also highly unlikely that you have the necessary interface on the PC to drive that interface which is more like a Video driver than anything you would think of as a printer interface.
