but ... update/upgrade is updating the system .. not user data
and there's gazillion ways to update/restore/recreate the system
to be able to recover your user data on /home
- one should be running 2 separate systems anyway, preferably
at 2 different physically isolated and distant locations
( one in new orleans and one in galveston :-)
