Can anybody help me here, to free up some disk space, to help me
understand what's going on?
Have you moved big directories from here to there ?? and not rebooted since that ?
Try rebooting, if a file is moved or deleted while in use, it will be actually deleted only when the process using it dies, so it takes twice as much space as it should.
