Hi, Are you using the legacy device (/dev/psaux) in your XF86Config-4? If so, you need to change it to /dev/input/mice, since you don't have the /dev/psaux in your kernel.
The section in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 looks something like this:

Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
