PuTTY is a client program running on Windows for the SSH, Telnet and Rlogin network protocols. Plink is a command-line interface to the PuTTY back ends (comparable to ssh executable, I think). > > I'm trying to execute a command on my Sarge box using plink (Putty) on > > Windows XP. But surely > that's only a unix command, isn't it? Dos uses "dir". plink runs in a Dos box (on my client) and should execute the command "ls -l" on host.some.where (the Debian server). It's like executing ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED] ls -l on a linux box. Regards, Martin -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
