-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm running the testing on my machine here at home, and starting a couple of weeks ago I'm having a really odd dpkg problem. dpkg never exits, and goes into an unkillable D (uninterrupatble sleep) mode.
This occurs whether I run dpkg directly of via apt-get. When running via apt-get it fires off the first dpkg command (unpack foo.deb) and then hangs. Then if I remove the locks and run apt-get again it will do the next step (setting up foo). Then it hangs again. To upgrade 20 packages like this requires 40 runs of apt get and killings of lock files. This is beginning to get very annoying. I asked in #debian and no one had ever had a similar problem. Can someone help me with this?
