Then I tried to install the module-init-tools and get:

----------------------
Ruby:/home/manu# apt-get install module-init-tools
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
module-init-tools is already the newest version.
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct
these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
hal: Depends: udev (>= 0.063) but 0.056-2 is to be
installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with
no packages (or specify a solution).

I agree with you. Sid use to be way more stable and I
am starting to think to move to ubuntu or back to
stable /testing cause this is really getting annoying
. My recen t upgrade of gnome 2.10 really was broken
and installed KDE so I had to spend some time
reinstalling everything .. Now it is the kernel and
udev..

any other ideas? I want to fix this ASAP as this cause
some of my software to be no completely upgraded and
therefore unsusable...

Thanks

Manu
