All I can do to help is to post the (sanitized) /etc/fetchmailrc I use to
fetch my and my wife's email from gmail:

set postmaster "gssalert"
set daemon 90
set logfile "/var/log/fetchmail.log"
set no bouncemail
set no spambounce
set properties ""

poll pop.gmail.com with proto POP3 port 995 and options no dns
user 'mygmailuser' there with password 'mypass' is 'mylocaluser' here
options fetchall ssl

poll pop.gmail.com with proto POP3 port 995 and options no dns
user 'wifegmailuser' there with password 'wifegmailpass' is
'wifelocaluser' here options fetchall ssl

It should be clear that this was generated with the help of fetchmailconf,
since it's all wordy and stuff. Nonetheless, it works nicely. Hope this
helps, but it looks to me like it's nearly identical to what was posted
above.
