I use a PC with Debian unstable. synaptic has been giving me many messages like:
W: Failed to fetch http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/x/xorg-x11/libice-dev_6.8.2.dfsg.1-4_i386.deb 404 Not Found [IP: 216.37.55.114 80] My browser showed the file and wget downloaded it.
