Is agp 8x enabled?

Hi,

I can see in /var/log/XFree86.log.0 this line:

(II) NVIDIA(0): Detected AGP rate: 8X

I just want to know if this means that agp 8x is really enabled or it
just detects that the video card can work at 8x and I need somehow o
enable it?
