What does your /etc/resolv.conf file look like? Its first nameserver
entry should be one for localhost:
nameserver 127.0.0.1

In /etc/resolv.conf, I have just this line: nameserver 127.0.0.1
I don't understand why dnscache daesen't works.
Howerver it is listening on 53 port.
Now I am running bind9 (cache only).
But still wainting for fixing the dnscache mistery :)
