Ok that is of cause a valid clam - I might have made the massage a little short - what I was refereeing to is actually a quite old discussion about niced cron jobs (i.e.if they should be allowed or not) and I just wanted to know if it actually was possible now, that was why I kept it short - I can renice the task from with in itself (i.e by getting the pidof itself and then renice it) but setting a level in crontab would be much nicer.
