I usually stick to IceWM and xterm. In my book, they have yet to improve on xterm. All the other terminals don't even handle logging, to my knowledge. With xterm, I can use my .Xdefaults file on every *nix in existence. Both KDE and Gnome have their own systems instead of respecting X resources, and that just pisses me off.
