I have the same problem, but it doesn't work with the power-button, nor the keyboard or mouse (both PS/2) Any more suggestions? Another thing, it won't power down if I use the -p flag to shutdown, or run powerdown. It just says Power down. And I'm left to switch it off manually. I'm running the 2.4.18 kernel.
