usb mass storage

    So, I finally got my USB floppy working with my Vaio, being able to mount
it as a mass storage device. However, it only works if I boot with the drive
connected. If I boot without and try to connect it after, it seems to
recognize the drive, but then any attempt to mount a floppy gives me "no
medium found". 

    Any ideas?
