Yup. Check yer sources!! I have ALWAYS done the ln -s /usr/src/kernel-source-x.xx.xx /usr/src/linux and all of my boxen are 5 x 5. Though if I complie straight from /usr/src/kernel-source-x.xx.xx, I end up fighting the module creation.
