I'm tracking woody, with a small number of packages from unstable. Whenever I run any of a number of programs, I get warnings such as:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gnome-terminal Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-1 Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-1 I mainly noticed this when I realized that I can only use a small number of the available listed fonts in gnome-terminal, and my preferred font, 'clean', is not one of them. I haven't knowingly touched my locale settings: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ locale LANG=C LC_CTYPE= LC_NUMERIC="C" LC_TIME="C" LC_COLLATE="C" LC_MONETARY="C" LC_MESSAGES="C" LC_PAPER="C" LC_NAME="C" LC_ADDRESS="C" LC_TELEPHONE="C" LC_MEASUREMENT="C" LC_IDENTIFICATION="C" LC_ALL= Following a lead from Google, I checked my /etc/locale.gen, but it seemed reasonable: en_US ISO-8859-1 en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 Does anyone have any pointers to other things I can check, or troubleshooting advice to help pin down the problem? -- Kirk Strauser The Strauser Group - http://www.strausergroup.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
