I'm changing the local network name of a few machines as well as their IP addresses (because I'm putting them on a different local subnet, e.g. 192.168.1.0 rather than 192.168.0.0). Changing the static IP addresses is easy, but I've not changed a network name before.
To clarify what I mean by network name: I mean that if my machines are called foo1, foo2, foo3, and the network name is foosoft, then the machines can be resolved locally as foo1.foosoft, foo2.foosoft, and so on. Anyway, I've had a look for files containing 'foosoft', as it were, and most are as I'd expect, e.g. resolv.conf, hosts... however, exim.conf and /etc/mailname also contain 'foosoft'. What steps should I take to get exim to re-read the config if I change these files? thanks! Alex -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
