apt-get install ssh you will need to ask your friend for his public key create an account for him on your machine (or use root if you REALLY trust him:-() and in there create a directory called .ssh Within that directory create a file called authorized_keys which contains his public key. Since this is an ascii key he can easily e-mail it to you check that hosts.allow has a line sshd:ALL in it (or instead of ALL - his ip address) If you have a firewall and/or a NAT address box in front of the machine you have to allow port 22 and forward connections from the nat box port 22 to your machines ip address. > > please answer in dutch Afraid I don't speak dutch I travelled once a week to the Netherlands for about 8 months over the last year and I never yet met one person who couldn't speak English. - -- Alan Chandler [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+if5wuFHxcV2FFoIRAgMZAJ91fgub2+zFFciwqExC9vK2I0GR0wCdFgnn yCPPD4/VxGGQ2ukOejPoVZI= =//Ay -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
