I'm trying to upgrade to woody and managed to apt-get instal apt apt-utils. Some other packages were uploaded as well. Since then I'm facing two problems.
One is that display of string's is scrambled See following: Second most of additional packages I'm trying to download are terminated in transfer after 98 -99% was downloaded. Normal ftp has no problem downloading whole file. Its only dselect or apt-get. I have already instaled new dpkg-ftp version. any pointers? TIA Michael. PS Conect site is primary mirror. current version 2.2.19 Message is Message:%20Error%20reading%20from%20server%20-%20read%20 (104%20Connection%20reset%20by%20peer)%20%0aTransient-Failure:%20true Following is reformated as it excede 72 char/line limit even on my screen It's more 256chars/line. Even my printer won't handle it properly. Why programers insist on creating such monsters i dont know? 72% [15 tktable 65760/66.4kB 99%] 4002B/s 11m16s ^^^^^ <- ftp:201%20URI%20Done%0aURI:%20ftp://ftp.at.debian.org/debian/pool/m ain/t/tktable/tktable_2.7-2_i386.deb%0aFilename:%20/var/cache/apt/arch ives/partial/tktable_2.7-2_i386.deb%0aSize:%2066414%0aLast-Modified:%2 0Mon,%2011%20Mar%202002%2015:17:09%20GMT%0aMD5-Hash:%203f2a09ba949174d fb16dac77b986c989%0aSHA1-Hash:%20424e5e7d1a6c192ff2a79f7737ece98aa2853927 Dequeuing /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/tktable_2.7-2_i386.deb Dequeuing /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/tktable_2.7-2_i386.deb 72% [Working] 4902B/s 11m16s <- ftp:102%20Status%0aURI:%20ftp://ftp.at.debian.org/debian/pool/main /x/xmms/xmms_1.2.7-1_i386.deb%0aMessage:%20Connecting%20to%20localhos t%20(127.0.0.1) <- ftp:102%20Status%0aURI:%20ftp://ftp.at.debian.org/debian/pool/mai n/x/xmms/xmms_1.2.7-1_i386.deb%0aMessage:%20Waiting%20for%20file 72% [Waiting for file] 4902B/s 11m16s <- ftp:200%20URI%20Start%0aURI:%20ftp://ftp.at.debian.org/debian/pool /main/x/xmms/xmms_1.2.7-1_i386.deb%0aSize:%201483870%0aLast-Modified: %20Thu,%2007%20Mar%202002%2020:03:28%20GMT Get:16 ftp://ftp.at.debian.org woody/main xmms 1.2.7-1 [1484kB] 84% [16 xmms 1474664/1484kB 99%] 4902B/s 6m15s <- ftp:20 ^^^^ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
