Hello list, I am running mysql-3.23.49 on Linux 2.4.18 for production purpose. Now I want to define a proper max_connections value in mysql. The document said,
"The maximum number of connects MySQL is depending on how good the thread library is on a given platform. Linux or Solaris should be able to support 500-1000 simultaneous connections, depending on how much RAM you have and what your clients are doing." My question is, how can I raise the max_connections value as many as possible? Does it depend on the hardware resource limit or how the OS implement thread library? -- Patrick Hsieh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> GPG public key http://pahud.net/pubkeys/pahudatpahud.gpg -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
