I can't get the xemacs dpkgs to work the way I want them to, so I'm trying to
remove them from my
system. However, Debian has its own idea on this. Not only will it not allow
me to remove all of
xemacs, but since I've created some dependency problems it won't allow me to
add in any other
packages either. I'm getting the following error message when trying to
install libpng3:

$ apt-get install libpng3
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
  xemacs21-bin: Depends: xemacs21-support (= 21.4.6-8) but it is not going to
be installed
                Depends: xemacs21 (= 21.4.6-8)
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a
solution).

I've tried the following to remove xemacs21-bin with the stated results:

$ dpkg -r xemacs21-bin
(Reading database ... 53268 files and directories currently installed.)

Suggestions?
