Yeah, i saw that, and that binding is there in words aparently but not in physical state. now i'm just reconfiguring X trying to get them to stick together... Jule

There must be at least one, for the "screen" being used. A "screen" represents the binding of a graphics device (Device section) and a monitor (Monitor section). There's your answer...
