Well, take a look at $TOMCAT_HOME/conf/server.xml, under the Tomcat-Standalone service tag, there is a Connector tag with it's port attribute; you can see on what port Tomcat is running.
I installed my Tomcat from the Apache distribution, and I believe that the default port is 8080.
