Hi all
I have recently moved from Redhat to debian and am having problems with an Actiontec PCI Master controller-based modem. After installing Potato and compiling 2.4 kernel (due to better PCI support) I am getting the following boot message
ttyS04 at port 0x1800 (irq = 11) is a 16550A
The modem automatically uses com 5 in M$ hence the ttyS4 (although not sure about the 0 in ttyS04). Is there any way to change the modem from ttyS4 to ttyS0-3 using setserial or something like it or do I have to use MAKEDEV to create ttyS4 and run the modem from that.

thanks for any help

tim
