Hi(I have posted this message a while back, but I'm not sure if it was not received or if no-one could help me.Thought I'd try again)
I converted my system to debian a while back and got the following problem. I can't receive/send messages while i can pretty much do anything else. I am connected to a LAN. My username is "jmak" and I will use a friends win2k machine to show some examples who's username is "mindlessdemon" My system Debian 3.0(Kernel 2.4.18) Samba 2.2.3a-6 Here comes the problem. ------------------------------------ smbclient -L mindlessdemon ->OK smbclient -M mindlessdemon -> OK smbclient -L jmak -> OK smbclient -M jmak -> FAIL [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ smbclient -M jmak added interface ip=146.232.176.120 bcast=146.232.179.255 nmask=255.255.252.0 message start: ERRSRV - ERRaccess (The requester does not have the necessary access rights within the specified context for the requested function. The context is defined by the TID or the UID.) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ The win machines can't send messages to me either, or I don't receive them correctly. I'm not sure about that part yet. I use linpopup on my side for a GUI interface for the popping. Can somebody please help me. This problem is making me mad and has gone on toooooooo long.
