A nifty tool for this sort of thing is `apt-cache'. Try running apt-cache show <packagename> and it will print out the same information as dselect would, plus a bit more. Also, you can use apt-cache search to do a keyword search on the package description field. For instance, to find programs to do with NFS (network filesystem), you might try `apt-cache search nfs'. -rob -- I did not vote for the Australian government.
