Well, the one and only fax program I played with was hylafax. So I cannot compare it to others, but here's what I can say about hylafax: It's very powerful. A lot more so than most users will ever need, client/server capable of handling thousands of faxes everyday and whatnot. Incoming faxes may be piped to a printer as well as sent to a recipient via email; it is possible to distribute them to different users based on how the remote fax identified itself. See http://www.hylafax.org/man/faxrcvd.html for details. One thing I did not quite understand, and one could possibly dislike: it builds its own 'pseudo-root' filesystem (/var/spool/fax/bin, /var/spool/fax/etc, and so on). Don't ask me why. I don't know. cu, Schnobs -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
