It was released July 13, 2002. One year. Why so short? Because by the time a tree goes obsolete, the software is a couple years out of date and becomes a serious burden on the security team. Additionally, at that point, you have three more recent trees to choose from. The day the tree you're tracking slips off into obsolete is the day you need to start drawing up battle plans to upgrade. - -- .''`.
