Hi,

i think this is due to your cd-burner,
you should handle your cdrom also like scsi, somethimg like this in
/etc/fstab:

/dev/sr0        /cdrom          iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto
/dev/sr1        /cdburn         iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto

and add a boot parameter for both cd-drives to lilo:

image=/vmlinuz
        label=Linux
        append="hdc=ide-scsi hd?=ide-scsi"
depends on which IDE-connector you used for your cdrom and cdburner

This should work.
