Hello. I am running 'unstable' with KDE 3.1.1 and the smbfs packages installed. I have two shares (exported via Samba on FreeBSD) mounted. When I use a KDE application to open a file in either directory the application repeatedly receieves SIGBUS, causing the application to become unresponsive.
If I try to use konqueror to browse (via smb://) the shares, I get an error message as follows. ERROR: ERROR 3: couldn't create slave : Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_smb'. Is there any way to determine why kio_smb didn't load or why browsing a mounted share sends SIGBUS to KDE applications? Btw, other applications are able to browse through these mounted shares without any problem. Regards, Drew Vogel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
