- if the printer is connected to the debian box... it is a local printer to that box - otherwise, its a network printer... # # printcap on other machines NOT connected to the hp940c printer # hp940c|DeskJet:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/hp940c:\ :rm=debian: restart lpd after editing - for MS apps... - use their printer manager in their control panel - you should be able to select which printer you wanna print to - for *nix... - use your fav apps....
